Company Overview:
AFRIPRISE Investment PLC is a closed-ended investment company listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE). We are seeking to recruit four highly qualified Board Directors to join our Board and contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and monitor the company's vision, mission, and strategic direction.
- Establish broad corporate policies and objectives that guide the company's operations.
- Prepare and present annual reports to shareholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Select, appoint, and evaluate the performance of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
- Oversee risk management strategies and maintain strong investor relations.
- Attend Board meetings, corporate events, and participate in Board assignments as required.
- Foster a collaborative and professional environment with fellow Board members.
- Perform duties as outlined in the company's MEMART (Memorandum and Articles of Association).
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Law.
- An MBA is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CISI will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in corporate governance, financial management, or leadership roles.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong networking skills with a strategic outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity with no criminal record.
- A clean credit history, including related parties, and no history of bankruptcy.
Additional Requirements:
