Overview:
Join the WWF/GEF Tanzania Food Systems Land Use and Restoration Project, a 5-year initiative that addresses the degradation of Tanzania's forest and wetland ecosystems while promoting sustainable rice production. The Finance and Operations Manager will manage all financial and operational aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with Government, WWF, and GEF policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project budgets and monitor financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee contracting, sub-recipient monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GEF financial requirements and manage grant agreements.
- Provide technical assistance to grantees and project staff.
- Prepare financial reports for WWF GEF Agency and manage audits.
- Support project management and administrative operations.
- Monitor compliance with WWF and project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in finance and operations management.
- Post-graduate degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of Government Project Financial Management standards.
- Experience in managing financial reporting for donor-funded projects, preferably GEF projects.
- Adaptive management skills and ability to interact with senior government officials.
