The Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS), owned by the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC), is currently seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals to fill the following positions:
Position: Senior Administrative Assistant – 2 Posts
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Sociology, Industrial Relations, Law, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university.

- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize and supervise operations within the authority.
- Coordinate and manage the completion of annual budget proposals.
- Control disbursements from the operating budget.
- Take and maintain minutes of directorates and management committee meetings.
- Resolve discrepancies in budget reports in coordination with the finance office.
- Oversee and supervise supporting staff services.
- Handle recruitment and appointments of staff in collaboration with the personnel office.
- Ensure proper insurance coverage for university assets and personnel.
- Maintain records of current insurance policies.
- Participate in staff performance appraisals.
- Establish quality standards for work conducted by support staff.
- Propose policies governing work priorities.
- Recommend disciplinary actions for administrative staff.
- Orient and train new staff members.
- Provide guidance on University Service Regulations, the Public Service Act, and related regulations.
- Monitor security and cleanliness activities at the university.
- Draft internal circulars, letters, and memoranda.
- Manage administrative correspondence.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by superiors.
