Project: Food Systems Land Use and Restoration in Tanzania’s Forest Landscapes
Location: Dodoma, Tanzania
Duration: 1 Year (extendable up to 5 years)

Overview:
Join the WWF/GEF Tanzania Food Systems Land Use and Restoration Project, a 5-year initiative focusing on sustainable rice production and ecosystem restoration in Tanzania's Kilombero Valley and North Unguja (Zanzibar). The project aims to address environmental degradation while promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day project management and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Coordinate with partners, supervise staff, and monitor project progress.
  • Develop work plans, budgets, and manage procurement and reporting.
  • Provide technical support for project activities, including landscape management and sustainable value chain development.
  • Ensure gender and environmental safeguards are implemented.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in sustainable food systems or similar fields, including 4 years in project management.
  • Post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Experience with multi-stakeholder projects and knowledge of WWF or GEF standards is a plus.
