Position: Specialist 1 – LAS

Purpose of the Role:
The Specialist 1 – LAS will oversee fuel delivery, reconciliation, and dispensing processes to mining equipment, ensuring correct fuel distribution and mitigating risks of fuel theft. The role includes investigating discrepancies and developing action plans to reduce related risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and reconcile daily fuel deliveries, bowser fuel, and equipment reconciliation.
- Investigate fuel discrepancies and theft, filing appropriate reports and preparing dockets.
- Conduct inspections on equipment vulnerable to fuel theft and implement preventive measures.
- Oversee the filing and electronic record-keeping of fuel sheets and vouchers.
- Prepare and submit regular fuel usage and loss reports.
- Collaborate with departments for fuel management, including auditing and analyzing fuel sales reports.
- Manage the work outputs and behaviors of subordinates, ensuring adherence to safety and ethical standards.
- Lead investigations and disciplinary actions related to fuel discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Certificate in Secondary Education or equivalent Diploma.
- Valid Tanzanian driver’s license with manual transmission experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of security-related experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong analytical and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and investigative skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to manage a team effectively.
